Waders
Combination of :
* one large bar-coded ring (one to three horizontal bars) (on left tarsus)
* one small plain ring (on right tibia).

note 2: Colour-ring scheme is in use for a population-study on local breeding birds on the Dutch Waddensea island Schiermonnikoog. project was started in 1983.
note 3: On one tarsus there is a large colour-ring, with horizontal bar-inscriptions. The bar-code on the ring consists of three positions (upper, middle and lower part) holding either no (0), a thin 2mm (1), or a thick 4-6mm bar (2). Used colours are: white ring with red bars (WR), marine-blue ring with white bars (MW), orange ring with black bars (OB), light-green (lime) ring with black bars (GB), red ring with white bars (RW), red ring with black bars (RB) and green ring with white bars (GW).
note 4: Each bird has one or two small plain colour-rings on either one tibia or tarsus and a metal ring on one tibia. Used colours are: black (B), green (G), red (R) white (W) and yellow (Y). Please note exact location of rings and exact location and thickness of bars on the bar-coded ring.
