Whimbrel

Combination of :
* 1 (tall) black (N) ring with white code (letter, number) [on right tibia]
* 1 c-ring [G) over metal ring [on right tarsus]
* 2 c-rings (W,Y,R,O,B,G,N) [on left tibia].

note 1 : birds are ringed on passage in Wales. The project began in spring 2010 when 43 birds were ringed. Project continued in 2011 (36 birds marked) with different ring arrangement and is continuing in to 2012 and beyond.

Combination of metal ring (on left tibia), 1 c-ring (on right tibia) and 3 c-rings (on right tarsus).

note 1 : used colours are : red, yellow, orange, green, lime, black and white.

note 2 : birds are ringed in Galicia, NW Spain.

note 1 : birds are ringed on their breeding grounds on the Shetland Isles, UK as part of a project by RSPB to understand the causes of population decline. The project began in summer 2010 (when 23 birds were ringed) and is continuing in 2011.

note 2 : used cololurs are red, yellow, dark-blue, dark-green, white, black and orange.
