note 1 : the Dartford Ringing Group has been colour ringing Greylag Geese at a site near Sevenoaks, Kent UK since 1982. The project monitors a population of geese introduced to the site from Scotland by Jeffery Harrison in the 1960s. The birds are caught once a year in a roundup during the flightless period.
