note 2 : c-ring is on right leg and CRBPO/metal ring on the left leg OR c-ring is on left tarsus and CRBPO/metal ring on the tight tibia.

note 3 : birds were ringed in the islands of Chausey/Granville and Seine-Maritime coast, Normandy, France

note 4 : Series A was doubled, i.e. the same ring was applied to both tarsi to assess the rate of ring loss. Please when sending an observation of a bird with an A series ring, please specify whether the bird has a band on both tarsi or only one band.
