Combination of :
- 2 c-rings (on left tibia)
- 1 c-ring (on left tibia)
- 1 c-ring (purple/mauve) (on right tibia)
- 1 c-ring (purple/mauve) (on right tarsus)
- metal ring (on right tarsus)
note 1 : used colours are : white, yellow, ornage, red, light-green/lime, dark-green, purple/mauve, black, dark-blue.
One (uncoded) c-ring (on left leg) and metal ring (on right leg).
note 1 : birds are ringed as nestlings and followed them during the post-fledging period and are followed by radio-telemetry (in collaboration with Dr. Jarkko Rutila, our Finnish cooperating researcher and the holder of the research permit).
note 2 : each chick has a metal ring (right leg) and a single color ring (left leg). Colors would be reused per each brood (broods are spatially distant and a combination of the c-ring plus radio-telemetry signals would exclude any identification confusions).
note 3 : the target of our project is not migration but simply id recognition of chicks during first 2 to max. 3 weeks postfledge.
