Dark-green ring with a 3 x 3 matrix of white dots, and one orientation dot.
note 1 : this serves a similar function to a QR code but much simpler, and is partly a trial scheme.
note 2 : the minimum number of dots would be 1 (the orientation) and maximum 10. All except 2 rings would be between these and this would give me 512.
note 3 :t he rationale is that all sightings of my previous colour rings have been from the ringing site (and mainly by me) and rings would be used on fledglings, and a camera used for subsequent sightings when they return the following years (philopatry in this site is, or at least was, around 75%).
Dark-blue flag with a white three-numeric code (001-500).
note 1 : project relates to a number of Irish Arctic Tern colonies, with a main focus on the east coast including Dublin Port, Dalkey Island, Rockabill Island and others.
note 1 : used codes, as starting letter Q (with a vertical line after between the two characters) or S and a second code A, C, E, F, H, J, K, L, N, P, R, S, T, V, X, Z.
