Herring Gull

Yellow ring with a black four alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : used codes, for example X578 or X29E.

note 2 : it is not possible to identify the ringed small chicks exactly, additional photos by observers are welcome. In most cases the gulls are Caspian Gulls or Herring Gulls, but note the existence of many hybrids. The participation of some Yellowlegged and Lesser Black-backed Gulls is also possible.

* blue ring or green (2015) with a white two alpha code (a dot '.' between the letters) (on right tibia).
OR white ring with black two alpha or two numeric code (on left tibia).
* metal ring (on left or right tarsus).

note 1 : 

Orange ring with a black 4 alpha-numeric code [ letter, letter, number, Z ] (on left tarsus) and metal ring (on right tarsus) with as scheme site identifier is Z (for Pitsea and Rainham) (as last letter).

note 1 :

Dark-green ring with a four alpha code (starting letter "S").

note 1 : after the "S" a 'dot' is to be found followed by three letters.

note 2 : birds ringed (irrespective of sex and age) near Zaanstad, The Netherlands but also in IJmuiden (urban gull project) now also for IJmuiden, the Zaanstreek, Den Helder, maybe next year Amstelveen.
