Red ring with a white two alpha-numeric code (letter A to Z and 1 digit) (on tibia) and metal ring (on other leg).

note 1 : not used after August 2009.

Yellow ring with a black three alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : used codes are : B98, B99.

Combination of 1 c-ring (on left leg) and a metal ring (on right leg).

note 1 : birds are ringed in the nature-reserve of La Mazière (Villeton, 47- Lot et Garonne, France) by Alain Dal Molin.

note 2 : used colours are : red, blue, green, blue yellow.

White ring with a black four alpha-numeric (on right leg) : Ax/xx and no metal ring.

note 1 : letter ‘A’ and x = letter.

Combination of 2 or 3 c-rings without code (on one leg) and only a metal ring or also a colour ring above (on the other leg).

note 1 : used small (1 cm height) colours are : white, dark blue, dark green, light green (pistachio), red, orange, yellow. Rings are above the knees.

note 2 : the programm started in 2009 at Lac de Grand-Lieu, Loire Atlantique, France

note 3 : for controls, mention ring from up to down for each  leg and precise kind of green (dark or light).

note 2: the number of the c-ring on leg is to be read from bottom to top.

note 3 : another projects with a yellow ring are very ‘close’. Differences: Colour ring on left tibia. Metal on right leg and tibia. The ring is to be read from bottom to top. Code begins with F.
