note 1 : the metal ring will be put on the left leg and will not be part of the scheme. The two c-darvic rings will be put on the right tarsus and a red ring will be a site identifier.
note 2 : the project is running from 2001 till 2010 in the vicinity of the Gdynia port, Poland.
note 3 : used colour-codes are : 2001 [yellow over red] ; 2002 [green over red] ; 2003 [blue over red] ; 2004 [black over red] ; 2005 [orange over red] ; 2006 [red over yellow] ; 2007 [red over green] ; 2008 [red over blue] ; 2009 [red over black] ; 2010 [red over orange].

note 1: during the summer 2001 some adult birds have been painted with yellow-red-green paint on underwings and belly.
note 2 : used colours : black, green, red, white, yellow and blue. The rings are unicolour sometimes with 1 or 2 horizontal lines (1 ring on the tarsus) OR little unicolour rings (2 or 3 on tarsus) or a combination of both.
note 3 : the aim of this study is to check the predation from Herring Gull on the tern-colony on Schiermonnikoog, NL now that Herring Gull egg-shaking has been stopped.

note 3 : used codes are : 0P01 till 0P00. During 2001 the numbers 0P01 till 0P28 have been used.
