Black ring with a white four alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : starting letter "A" : A111-A150 were used in the Comacchio Lagoon in 1991-1995 by M. Fasola.

note 2 : starting letter "I" : IAAA-IPCS (1995-2001). Chicks are ringed in Apulia (Margherita di Savoia saltpans), Sardinia (Cagliari and Oristano) and Po Delta (Comacchio and Pialassa Baiona).

note 3 : starting letter "O" : only on the first 200 rings the zero has a dot in the middle: bad idea, everybody read it as 'B', so - from 0BAA on - the zero is a real zero).

note 4 : the codes ISAA to ISCF were used in Senegal by Didier Vangeluwe.

note 5 : ca. 1900 chicks were ringed in Italy in 1991-2001 (most of them in 2007 had lost their ProTouch spiral rings).
