Combination of a white ring ring with a black three alpha-numeric code (2 numbers and letter 'N').
note 1 : N can be in any position in the code. All rings put on with the first digit closest to the foot. Many combinations randomly removed to look at reporting accuracy. A few rings used give different code if read upside down.
note 2 : all birds ringed in Nottingham, UK..Project start date is June 2009. Currently about 130 birds are marked.
note 3 : primary objective is for undergraduate biology/zoology projects on goose behaviour however all sightings are welcome and useful even if they are from the University campus. Full sighting history of individual bird will be given on reporting a sighting.
