Yellow ring with a black four alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : used codes are 01HC-99HC (ringed mainly on 25-30th August 2009) and 01HE-50HE (ringed on 2-4th January 2009).

note 2 : 92 birds (56 pulli, 21 adults (their parents) and 15 non-breeding birds) were ringed during the period 25-30.08.2009 in the Eastern Czechs: in Hradec Králové region (in Czech language: kraj) = in Hradec Králové, Náchod and Trutnov districts (in Czech language: okres); and in Pardubice region = Chrudim, Pardubice, Svitavy and Ústí n. Orlicí districts.

note 3 : used codes are 01HC-97HC without 49HC, 87HC, 88HC, 95HC, 96HC. The ringers were Světlana Vránová and Tomáš Diviš from VČP ČSO.

note 4 : seven of the adult birds and six of non-breeders colour-ringed in this summer action were previously marked by the metal rings only. In 11 cases were ringed 2007/08 and 2008/09 winters by “Labute 2008-2010” project team in the wintering flocks in Hradec Králové and Pardubice cities.

note 5 : 58 birds were ringed during the period 2-4.01.2010 in two main cities and main wintering sites of this species in Eastern Czechs: in Hradec Králové (on Labe river) and in Pardubice (on Labe river and Bajkal pond). Used codes are 01HE-50HE, 49HC, 87-88HC, 95-96HC, 98-00HC. The ringer was Světlana Vránová from VČP ČSO.

note 6 : five of the birds colour-ringed in this winter action were previously marked by the metal rings only, in all cases in the previous winters (2007/08 - 1 bird, 2008/09 - 4 birds) by “Labute 2008-2010” project team in the same places, in the wintering flocks in Hradec Králové and Pardubice cities.

note 7 : altogether, 149 Mute Swans were colour ringed in the project (one young bird lost his plastic ring from the summer, and received the second one during the winter control).
