note 1 : 2010 was HXxx used in DK, examples HX72, HX60.

note 2 : some rings of these codes are used in SH for Larus michahelis and Larus cachinans.

note 3 : rings are to be read from bottom to top, most rings have a “checkpoint”.

note 4 : most Larus marinus have yellow rings beginning with “H”, like H55T, see there.

note 5 : about 30 birds ringed per year since 2005.
