Combination of three c-rings and one metal ring.  

note 1 : used colours are : red, yellow (2014-2015) , white, blue, orange, light green, pink, lilac (2015-2016) and mauve , 2016-2017 : red , 2017-2018 : dark-green  , winter 2018-2019 : white ; 2019-2020 : blue ; during winter 2020/2021 and in the breeding season 2021 : orange.

note 2 : metal ring on one leg and one c-ring on the other leg. The metal ring is on the right leg in even years (2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 etc.), and on the left leg in uneven years (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 etc.)

note 3 : the Department of Behavioural Ecology and Evolutionary Genetics of the Max-Planck-Institute for Ornithology focuses its research on the evolution of mate choice, parental care, and promiscuity in birds. We study why individuals differ in their mating behaviour and how this affects their reproductive success and survival (see also www.mpg.de) Our ringing sites are at our institute in Seewiesen and a forest near Landsberg am Lech, both in Upper Bavaria, Germany.

note 4 : the birds will get a lilac ring (on the right leg) and metal (on the left leg) from October to December 2015 and a lilac ring (on the left leg) and metal ring (on the right leg) from January to March or April 2016.

note 5 : the birds will get red (on the left leg) and metal (on the right leg) from October to December 2016 and a red ring (on the right leg) and metal (on the left leg) from January onwards and during the breeding season 2016.

note 6 : dark-green ring (on one leg) and the metal band (on the other leg.
