Combination of c-rings : 2 c-rings (on left tarsus) and 1 c-ring over metal ring (on right tarsus).

note 1 : the scheme is : three c-rings plus metal ring. Always two rings on left leg and colour over metal ring on right leg.

note 2 : colour over the metal may be a blue/white striped ring or a red/blue striped ring. Please specify combination, eg, blue/white/metal or white/blue/metal, since rings have been inverted to increase numbers of combinations.

note 3 : to date over 400 birds have been colour ringed, many of which already have extensive retrap histories prior to colour ring project. All birds have been ringed in the Cotswold Water Park (Gloucestershire/Wiltshire border) and wetland sites in Swindon.

note 4 : Birds have been ringed throughout the year including during breeding season, on winter seed patches and winter reed bed roosts.

note 5 : if birds are seen within the Cotswold Water Park, please specify the lake number (as there are over 140 to choose from, please help us to pin-point the sighting). Contact me for further details, help and a map if required.
