Gulls
White wingtags with a black 3 alpha-numeric code (1, 2 or 3 symbols).
Blue wingtags with a white 3 alpha-numeric code (1, 2 or 3 symbols).
note 1 : identical code on each wing and the engraved code can be found out, still, even if both wingtags are seen incompletely (min. two symbols each tag).
note 2 : most tags have -for the time being- three characters.
note 3 : in Spain another project with white tags is running. No details are know yet.
note 4 : among some 500 wing-tagged gulls some 20 are non-Herring gulls.
note 5 : on the first of July '01 some 9000 readings of this project.

note 7 : some birds are Caspian Gull (see also http://www.cr-birding.org/node/3209) and soem birds are michahellis.
