Combination of rings, with a maximum of 2 rings/leg.

note 1 : used colours are : black, white, red, orange, dark-green, dark-blue, violet, yellow and the metal ring.
Each tarsus gets max. 2 rings, so each bird could have up to 4 rings.  
Metal ring always on the right leg, down, associated with a colour ring above (white, green, violet), and two colour rings on the left leg.

note 2 : this system was used in Hungary as well (the only differences: the position of the metal ring and the colour of the ring above/below the metal ring).
This system run out several years ago, however we cannot rule out the possibilities that aged birds ringed with this system can still be alive.

note 3 : project runs in Western Romania and Transylvania. Birds were ringed with the aim to study the social structure and hierarchy within colonies of Red-footed Falcon and Common Kestrel, nesting site and hatching site fidelity, dispersion between the different colonies and roosting places during the pre-migratory period etc.

note 4 : between 2007 and 2010 altogether 126 birds have been ringed using this system in Western Romania and Transylvania.
