Common Rosefinch
scientific name:
Carpodacus erythrinus
notes:

Combination of c-rings :
- a black and a metal ring (on right tarsus).
- a combination of 2 c-rings (on left tarsus).

note 1 : used colors are black, white, yellow, orange, red, green and blue.

note 2 : juvenile birds are ringed with a metal ring (on the right tarsus) and one ring (on the left tarsus). The year-marker changes every year.

note 3 : the first part of the project stopped with the ringing of birds in 2006 (about 130 adult rosefinches have been colour-ringed). Until 2010 a few colour-ringed birds were seen at the breeding site (the oldest being at least 7 years old). Only for
2011 (eventually 2012) the project will start again because some males were equipped with geolocators and hopefully will be retrapted next year. Hopefully they will provide new information concerning their whereabouts on migration and in winter. The birds with geolocator have been ringed with an alu ring on one tarsus (either on the right or the left) and one cr-ring on the second tarsus. At the end of ringing activity this year 39 adult birds have been ringed.
