notes:

Combination of :
* one yellow, violet or pale-blue ring (on the right tibia).
* one c-ring above the metal ring (on the left or right tarsus) in combination with a yellow tibia ring, the metal ring is on the left tarsus only).
* two c-rings (on the other tarsus).

note 1 : used colours are : pale-blue, yellow, red, dark green, black and violet.

note 2 : some red and pale-blue rings have faded and appear rosy and white, respectively.

note 3 : orange was also used in the past.

note 4 : pale-blue tibia rings were used until 2015, but birds with these rings are still alive. Yellow tibia rings were used from 2016 to 2024. Violet tibia rings have been used since 2025.

note 5 : some yellow tibia rings have a black inscription with the letter “X”, but the inscription is not visible from a distance. The project replaced these rings with pale-yellow tibia rings several years ago.

note 6 : some birds have been equipped with GPS tags since 2019.
