White ring with a black three alpha-numeric code (letter/number/number) OR (letter/letter/number) (on one leg) and metal ring (on the other leg).
note 1 : white rings with black code are used in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, Germany.
note 2 : used three alpha-numeric codes are "letter/number/number", using only these codes: N**, O**, P**, S**, T**, V**, W** with ** = 00 – 99 (for instance “S10”)
note 3 : used three alpha-numeric codes are "letter/letter/number", using only these codes: N#*, S#*, P#* with # = A – Z and * = 0 – 9 (for instance “NE9”)
note 4 : for the future, the use of the following code is planned and reserved: “letter/number/letter“ (e.g. A1A – Z9Z).
note 5 : take care for mistakes reading letters B, I, O, S and Z compared with the numbers 8, 1, 0, 5 and 2. (For example N82 is similar to NBZ ; P05 is similar to POS ; NA1 is similar to NAI.)
