Combination of 3 rings.

note 1 : used colours are : light-green,black,light-green.

White ring with a black three alpha code (starting letter AAA) (on one leg) and metal ring (on other leg). 

note 1 : the birds are ringed at Cotswold Water Park and Severn Vale, UK.

note 2 : white rings only used in 1999 (likelihood of birds being seen is slim).

Yellow wingtag with a two alpha code (starting AA) and a plain ring (identifying the year of ringing) (on tibia).

note 1 : the birds are ringed at Cotswold Water Park and Severn Vale, UK. 

note 2 : wing tags used since 2000; by end of 2008 166 birds marked in this way.

Pale-blue ring with a white four alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : starting letter "J" followed by a three alpha-numeric code.

note 2 : the project concerns nestlings from all over Norway.

note 1 : projects date from the period 1980-1987, still birds alive.

note 2 : about 2000 birds ringed at Lac de Grand-Lieu, Loire Atlantique, France and Gulf of Morbihan (Suscinio, Morbihan, France).
