note 3 : 12 Kentish plovers of different ringing schemes were equipped with 1 g GPS tags in Germany in 2019. Birds have to be re-trapped to achieve GPS fixes. Please directely inform the ringer in case of a sighting or re-catch ( see https://bergenhusen.nabu.de/imperia/md/nabu/images/nabu/einrichtungen/be... ). In case of a re-catch elsewhere, please take the logger off the bird from January 2020 onwards by cutting the silicon tube close to the logger. Please remove the solicon tube from the bird (one loop around each leg).

note 1 : 1060 birds are ringed between 2007-2020.

note 2 : since 2010, the numeric ring is on the tibia, before it was on the tarsus, but the ring wore out and became illegible (black).

note 3 : the numbered ring (always white) is associated with the uncoded colored ring on the opposite leg for entering on the website. For example on the 2 pictures below : 50 green, 26 white. if the uncoded ring has disappeared, please contact james.jb@wanado.fr
