Vultures

notes: 

Yellow wingtag (on both wings) and yellow darvic ring with a unique black 3 alpha-numeric code and darvic ring starting by number “9” followed by two letters.

note 1 : birds are being marked in the Strait of Gibraltar and are of different age classes. It is expected that some of these marked birds have crossed the Strait to Africa (Senegambia region).

note 2 : same kind of marks with different codes are used by other Spanish ringing schemes.

Blue ring with black a three 3 alpha-numeric code (letter: A, B or C and 2 numbers) and a metal ring (on the other leg).

Green ring with 3 alpha-numeric code.
Green and red ring with 3 alpha-numeric code.
Yellow ring with 3 alpha-numeric code.

note 1: in total 81 birds were ringed in Bulgaria till 2010. Colour ringing started in 2005 when 3 adults were ringed with combination of green and red rings on both legs, continued in 2007 and 2008 when green rings were used and in 2009-2010 the rings were changed to yellow (same type as Spanish rings).

note 2: used codes are :
2005 : three adults ringed with red and green rings on both legs : B25 and M18, B12 and M19, B04 and M10.
2007 : one juvenile ringed with red and green rings on both legs - B38 and M02
2008 : 27 juveniles ringed with green ring - B01, B05, B06, B08, B09, B10, B11, B14, B16, B19, B21, B22, B23, B24, B26, B27, B28, B30, B31, B33, B34, B35, B36, B39, B40, B41, B42.
2009 : 25 juveniles ringed with yellow ring on the right leg : K00, K01, K02, K03, K04, K05, K06, K07, K08, K09, K10, K11, K12, K13, K14, K15, K16, K17, K18, KOA, KOC, KOF, KOH, KOJ, KOL
2010: 25 juveniles ringed with yellow ring on the left leg : KOT, KOP, KOR, KOU, KOV, KOX, KOW, 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 338, 339, 33A, 33C,  33H, 33M, 33P, 33V, 36H, 36L, 36N, 36R.
