Great Skua

Yellow ring with a black three alpha-numeric code (1 letter and 2 numbers OR 2 letters and 1 number).

note 1 : used codes are F01-F98 for adult breeding birds and SA1-SZ9, VA0-VK8 for fledlings.

note 2 : birds ringed on the Faroe Islands. 

note 3 : the aim of this study is to examine whether the great skua pollutant load can be correlated with their breeding season diet. Colour ringing some of the breeding adult birds will hopefully allow to identify those specific pairs earlier the consecutive season.
