Combination of a two alpha-numeric coded ring (alpha/number) and 2 plain c-rings in addition to the metal ring. 

note 1 : engraved ring colours are white, yellow, orange, red, green, blue and black.

note 2 : plain ring colours are brown, white, yellow, orange, red, lime, dark-green, dark- blue and black.

Combination of a black ring with a white four alpha-numeric code (2Ann where 'n' is a number) (on left tarsus) and a c-ring over metal ring (on right tarsus). 

note 1 : birds are carrying a radio transmitter.

Combination of 3 c-rings and metal ring.

note 1 : coordination is made through the BTO to avoid any duplication.

note 2 : choughs returned to Cornwall in 2001 after a long absence ; Since then they breed successfully each year ; they have raised three youngsters, while the original pair fledged five chicks this year. Their 2006 brood – which comprised three males and two females - brings their total offspring to 20 over five seasons.

note 1 : used codes are A01-A00 and C01-C00 and E01-E00.

note 2 : this project concersn a study about the site fidelity reproductivity, social organization, juvenile dispersion in the Appennini Mountains.

note 3 : birds are ringed in the territory, National Park Gran Sasso Laga (Abruzzo - Italy). The cr-project is initiated in 2011.
