note 1 : between 1996 and 2007 a total of 955 birds ringed in SW Iceland.

note 1 : some 20birds are ringed in the framework of a wildlife rehabilitation centre near Hastings, East Sussex.

note 1 : since 1999 ca. 25 chicks are ringed every year at the Ebro Delta, western Mediterranean.

note 2 : rings were provided by Norman van Swelm in 1996.

note 3 : 25 birds are ringed in Galicia, NW Spain at the Ria de Arousa and Malpica colonies.

note 2 : last position uses each letter of the alphabet and * = number 0-9.

note 3 : used codes are T*TR through to T*TZ ; T*UA through to T*UZ ;  T*VA through to T*VZ ; T*WA through to T*WZ ; T*XA through to T*XZ ; T*YA through to T*YZ ; T*ZA through to T*ZZ.

note 4 : birds are ringed on the Isle of Man, British Isles.

note 5 : birds are ringed in agreement with the project of David Sowter, so not the same codes are used.
