Blue (pale) ring with a white four alpha-numeric code.

note 1 : used codes for the pale-blue rings are : J020-J600, J701-J999, JF00-JF99, JH00-JH99, JJ00-JJ99, JK00-JK99, JL51-JL99+00.

Blue (dark) ring with a white four alpha-numeric code, starting letter 'J'.

note 1 : used letters for the dark-blue rings are: A, C, G, E, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, U, V, X, Y, Z.

Blue (pale) ring with a black four alpha-numeric code, starting letter 'Y' and three numbers. 

note 1 : between 1996 and 2007 a total of 955 birds ringed in SW Iceland.

note 1 : some 20birds are ringed in the framework of a wildlife rehabilitation centre near Hastings, East Sussex.

note 2 : first birds of study were ringed as pulli on east coast of Ireland during summer 2009.

note 1 : all birds are also ringed with a metal ring from the IINH.

note 3: 111 birds have been ringed at Reykjanes Peninsula, SW-Iceland.
