note 1: this study hopes to monitor the breeding population of the colony of terns which breeds on the Chesil Beach in West Dorset, UK. The scheme started in 1999. After tree years of failure, during 2010 again some birds were ringed.

in 2006 the c-ring was put on the left leg for adults (5 birds ringed) and on the right leg for pulli (195 birds ringed).
