note 1 : Ringing is conducted in lowland Croatia, with yellow rings used in the western part (Posavina).

note 2 : During the 2004, 2006 and 2008 years c-rings were placed on the right leg, the metal on the left leg, both on tibia; while during the 2005, 2007 and 2009 years c-rings were placed on the left leg, the metal on the right leg, both on tibia.

note 4 : Across all of Croatia 2800 birds ringed since 2004 (white and yellow rings).

White rings with a black four alpha numeric code (Txxx) (to be read from top to bottom).

note 1 : Ringing is conducted in lowland Croatia, with white rings used in the eastern part (Slavonia and Baranja).

note 2 : during 2004-2009 331 chicks have been ringed in the north-east Croatia (along the Danube and Drava river and Baranya region). Numbers of ringed chicks per year are as follows:

note 1 : 5 large letters and/or digits repeated on 4 sides (=ring number) and a code with 3 letters repeated on 3 sides (=code of ringing scheme) and small text for ring recoveries on 1 side.

note 2 : sometimes black rings could be read as dark-blue rings.

note 3 : sometimes extra codes are readable like „DEW“ which means Vogelwarte Wilhelmshaven.
