* green ring (on left tarsus).
* metal ring (on left tibia).

note 1 : used codes are : A, C, E, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, T, U, V.

note 2 : birds ringed at the Northumberland & Durham Coast, North-east England.

note 3 : 

Combination of :
* yellow flag (on left tibia).
* 4 c-rings (2 on each tarsus).
* metal ring (on right tibia).

note 1 : used colours are : orange, red, blue and yellow

note 2 : project started in autumn 2014.

note 3 : some birds were accidently ringed in Ireland.

* to generate some information on the distribution of wintering and passage Ruddy Turnstone in Venezuela.
* to generate re-sightings to look at migration routes.
* to try and ascertain whether there are any relationships between wintering areas and breeding areas.
* to possibly measure phenology if we can catch them over a number of years.

* to generate some information on wintering sites and distribution of wintering Turnstone in the northwest of England or further afield.
* to attempt to find out what the turnover of the birds wintering at this site is.  Where are they coming from to roost/forage at the site ?
* to measure winter site fidelity and implications of disturbance if they show high winter site fidelity.
* to generate re-sightings to look at migration routes.
* to try and ascertain whether there are any relationships between wintering areas and breeding areas.
* to possibly measure phenology if we can catch them over a number of years.
