- metal ring (on left tibia).
- 2 c-rings (on left tarsus).
- nothing OR orange flag (on right tibia).
- nothing OR 1 ring (on right tarsus).

note 1 :

- flag above a c-ring (on right tarsus)
- 2 c-ring (on left tarsus) and metal ring (on right or left tibia). 

note 1 : nesting adults and pullus caught in South and NW Iceland. Project started in 2013.

note 2 : used colours are white, black, green, yellow, red, orange and light-green/lime.

note 3 : few birds have lost the flag (green or white) and the metal ring is not a part from the code.

Red ring with a three alpha-numeric code (one letter and two numbers) (usually on left tarsus) and metal ring (on right tarsus).

Yellow or red ring with 3 alpha-numeric code (one letter and two numbers) (usually on left tarsus) and metal ring (on right tarsus).

White ring with a three alpha-numeric code : 1 letter and 2 numbers (on left leg).

note 1 : a project in Aberdeen on roof nesting birds, over 300 birds were ringed.

note 2 : even incomplete sightings are useful.

- a yellow ring with a black two alpha, or a two numeric, or a two alpha-numeric  code (on right tarsus).
- a yellow ring, or blue ring, or red ring over the metal ring (on left tarsus)
- a dark-green ring (on right tibia)

note 1 : used letters and numbers are : A, B, C, D, F, H, I, J, L, N, P, S, T, U, V, X, Z and 0, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9.
