note 2 : project runs in Hortobágy/East Hungary and some 40 birds/year will be ringed with the aim to study the social structure and hierarchy within colonies of Red-footed falcon and Common Kestrel.

note 2: the project runs in Arad county/Western Romania in three colonies. This program is part of “Milvus Group” - Association for Bird and Nature Protection Raptor Conservation Working Group’s activity. In 2003 we marked a number of 73 nestlings and in 2004 another 34 of young Common Kestrels. They will be ringed with the aim to study the movements of young birds; the distance between the hatching and the nesting place (in following years), fidelity to nesting area, nest site selection, social structure and also the hierarchy within colonies of Red-footed Falcon and Common Kestrel.
