Black-headed Gull

Yellow ring with a black four alpha-numeric code : first letter 'P' followed by a letter and two numbers.

note 1 : used codes are PAxx-PAxx, PCxx, PExx till PZxx (where x = number) and PA01...PA99, ... , PZ00-PZ99.

note 2 : project has been started in commemoration for Vytautas Pareigis, who sadly passed away early april 2013 when reading gull rings.

note 3 : 

Red ring with a white four alpha code (first letter H).

note 1 : used codes are Hlll, but also Hnnl and Hnll, where n=number and l=letter.

note 2 :

White ring with black five alpha-numeric code (starting letter "A") and metal ring (on other leg).

note 1 : rings are to be read from bottom to top.

note 2 : codes AB000-AB199 are used in Belarus. Only adult birds.

note 3 : the combination with a 5 alpha-numerics are used to test.
ex. AF123, AF366, ...

note 4 : codes like AX475, AT003, AD703 are used 2016 - 2020.

note 5 :

Yellow ring with a black four alpha-numeric code : first letter 'U' followed by three alpha-numeric or numeric code.  

note 1 :  used codes are U000 to U999.  

note 2 : during 2013-2018 used near 900 color rings.       

note 3 : birds ringed in different regions of Ukraine.  

note 4 : used code are in 2020-21 : UA00-UA99 ; UC00-UC99, than UE00-UE99 and later  UJ00-UJ99 etc.   

note 5 :

White ring with a black four alpha-numeric code (starting letter 'Z' / number / number /letter (on right tarsus) and metal ring (on left tarsus).

note 1 : some of these codes may be used on Common Gulls (Larus canus).
